Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) Agreement

Singapore and Malaysia Government have introduced both the Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) schemes to allow short term cross border travel for essential business and official purposes between both countries, up to 14 days’ stay.  Regarding eligibility and process, please refer to Safe Travel portal https://safetravel.ica.gov.sg/malaysia/overview for more information

Sample of the Business Travel Requirements for an Malaysia Visa for Singapore Citizens

  1. Visa May Not Be Required

    Visa exempt for a stay of up to 30 days. The traveller must:

    • Hold a passport valid at least six months on entry with one blank visa page
    • Hold proof of sufficient funds in the form of a bank statement or cash
    • Hold proof of onward/return airline tickets
    • Hold documents showing proof of purpose of trip
    • Hold all documents required for the next destination
    • Hold a visa for the next destination, if required
    • Confirm with their airline that boarding will be permitted without a visa as these conditions are subject to change

    For stays exceeding 30 days a visa is required and must be obtained prior to arrival. Please refer to the CIBTvisas application pack for further details.

    The Malaysia High Commission requires applicants from your particular country to apply for a visa in person. CIBTvisas is unable to assist in this instance.
